{"id":7310,"date":"2021-03-21T09:00:37","date_gmt":"2021-03-21T08:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.anticabarbieriacolla.com\/?p=7310"},"modified":"2021-03-16T17:33:46","modified_gmt":"2021-03-16T16:33:46","slug":"how-to-take-care-of-your-beard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anticabarbieriacolla.com\/en\/how-to-take-care-of-your-beard\/","title":{"rendered":"How to take care of your beard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">In the previous blog post we talked about how to grow a beard and those who read it, or tried to, know that it\u2019s no easy feat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">If you happen to succeed and don\u2019t want to undermine the efforts, it\u2019s time to discuss how to take care of your beard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">First of all it\u2019s worth repeating that <b>the beard needs to be washed regularly<\/b>, for two main reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\"><i>to eliminate trapped food, dead skin cells and dust <\/i>which tend to accumulate inside it and can lead to itchiness, or worse, infections;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><i>to provide the right amount of nourishment<\/i> for healthy growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\">We\u2019ll never tire of saying that the beard requires a <b>specially formulated cleanse<\/b>r: the hair on the face is different than that on the head and has to be cleaned without stripping it of necessary moisture; that\u2019s why it\u2019s a good habit remembering to use a <b>specific conditioner<\/b> after shampooing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">In our salon we use the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anticabarbieriacolla.com\/en\/prodotti\/darkwood-beard-shampoo\/\">Darkwood Beard Shampoo<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anticabarbieriacolla.com\/en\/prodotti\/jojoba-oil-beard-conditioner\/\">Jojoba Oil Beard Conditioner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">Also, be sure to <b>avoid overzealous towel drying<\/b> to prevent breakage and split ends; especially during winter months, the strands already gets rubbed over and over by sweaters, scarfs etc.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">Another thing to do quite often is <b>brushing or combing <\/b>the beard (depending on its length) to untangle it, remove impurities and evenly spread the sebum produced by the skin or any product applied.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">Another key aspect in beard care is <b>using an oil <\/b>like our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anticabarbieriacolla.com\/en\/prodotti\/bitter-orange-beard-dry-oil\/\">Bitter Orange Beard Dry Oil<\/a> which nourishes both coarse facial hair and the skin beneath, helping to cut down on dryness, itchiness, breakage and dandruff;
