About ten years ago, at Antica Barbieria Colla we began to imagine a full line of hard shaving soaps to accompany our aftershave milks, which had long been part of the daily routine of many clients.
It was Francesca who carried this vision forward with determination: after long conversations with our production and journeys to London, where she observed the most prestigious barbershops, she realized how traditional hard soaps still held a central role in the shaving experience.
From that intuition, with patience and research, a collection of hard shaving soaps was born — capable of combining artisanal quality with care for the skin. The Almond Oil and Red Sandalwood soaps were the first to be introduced; and in 2025, the Green Tobacco Hard Shaving Soap finally joined them as the most recent addition.
Artisanally made and enriched with tobacco essence extracted from fermented leaves, this soap conveys warmth, energy, and well-being. Its lather helps to soften the beard, prepare the skin, and ease the action of the razor, ensuring comfort even for the most sensitive skin.
